(Dviation) are pleased to announce their collaboration on the establishment of the first and exclusive HondaJets Authorised Service Centre (ASC) for the Southeast Asia region. The Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) was signed between HACI and Dviation at the headquarters of Honda Aircraft Company in Greensboro, North Carolina, the United States of America.
The MoC signing ceremony was witnessed by Selangor State Executive Councillor for Industry & Trade, The Honourable Dato’ Teng Chang Khim. Also present during this ceremony were representatives from the Selangor State Government which include; Dr Nor Fuad Abdul Hamid, the Deputy State Secretary cum Director of Selangor State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN Selangor), as well as Dato Hasan Azhari Hj Idris, CEO of Invest Selangor Berhad together with the dedicated Aerospace division, Selangor Darul Ehsan Aerospace Industry Coordination Office (S-DAICO).
This service centre will be established in the state of Selangor, Malaysia and is poised to be the first in the Southeast Asia region. The competent talent pool, robust ecosystem and strong government support, enables the state of Selangor to house more than 63% of the Malaysian Aerospace economy. Selangor’s close proximity to HACI customers too makes it the ultimate location for the service centre.
This partnership between HACI and Dviation will see HACI act as the advisor as well as provider in technical expertise and training for HondaJets whereas Dviation will act as the subject matter expert in the field of MRO services to setup and manage the first and exclusive service centre for HondaJets in the region. Together new and existing HondaJets owners and operators in the region will have access to the full spectrum of technical support; from warranty claims, parts supply, power-by-hour programs to comprehensive after sales support – marketed under the brand name KarbonMRO.
KarbonMRO paves the way in enabling the future of air mobility by providing bespoke Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services, catering to the next generation of aerial vehicles, powered by smart technologies. This is made possible through an exclusive partnership between Dviation and the Selangor State government’s investment arm for the Selangor Aerospace industry, Selangor Aviation & Technology Innovation Sdn. Bhd. (SELATI) a subsidiary of MBI Selangor.
KarbonMRO’s portfolio targets three categories of aerial vehicles; light jets, electric/hybrid aviation and eVTOLS, which are seen as catalysts for the adoption of sustainable technologies contributing to decarbonization in aviation within the next decade. Through this collaboration, Dviation and SELATI aspire to increase the availability of the much-needed maintenance services for these next-generation aerial vehicles.
“KarbonMRO and Dviation Group’s network within the South East Asia region will ensure our customers have support where ever their travels take them. We are pleased to have an active partner that parallel’s Honda’s customer focus,” said Honda Aircraft President and CEO Hideto Yamasaki
“We are extremely honored to enter into this exclusive partnership with HondaJets, as we position ourselves to support the needs of owners and operators in the region. The Honda brand is synonymous with safety, quality and reliability, a philosophy that our Group constantly strives to emulate in ensuring total customer satisfaction. Together with SELATI, KarbonMRO is our feature platform to champion de-carbonization of aviation, whilst heralding the new age of air mobility,” commented Dviation Group MD, Mr. Kevin Teoh. “At the same time, we also take this opportunity to express our utmost gratitude to the team at Invest Selangor, through its dedicated Aerospace division Selangor Darul Ehsan Aerospace Industry Coordination Office (S-DAICO), who worked tirelessly with the various stakeholders in facilitating the fruition of this partnership,” added Teoh.
“We foresee a game changer in the Aerospace industry with Honda Jets establishing their service centre in South East Asia. This service centre through KarbonMRO will witness an increase of Honda Jets in the region as its light aircrafts endeavour green technology which makes it economical yet exclusive. We believe that SELATI together with Dviation Group, our collaborative partner, will create sustainability in the business aviation sector and could further enhance this industry especially in the Southeast Asia region,“ commented Dr Zulkufli, MD for SELATI.
